500 smoke alarms donated to the fire station in Qianzhen Dist. The fire crews distribute those alarms to the low and middle income families, improving their living safety.
According to 2021 Fire Statistics by regions from the Taiwanese National Fire Agency, Ministry of the Interior; residential building fire is ranked a priority, ranked at the top for incidences. Besides, the number of fire casualties are also relatively high when the fires occur between midnight and dawn, as people are not attentive to the fires as they are sleeping. Hence installing smoke alarms at homes is essential for fire safety, to detect an ongoing fire at its early stage.
